We are always on the lookout for examples of great packaging, and this bag, produced for Lancashire’s libraries, is a cool and witty take on the notion of a bag for life. Based on a design by young designer Thom Isom, it reinvents the bag for life as a ‘bag for lit’; the bags are strong enough to hold several books, CDs and DVDs.
The bags are the result of the Lancashire County Council’s recycling project which has been successful in turning library waste into stylish fashion items. The bags themselves are made from items such as old date labels, newspapers, magazines, old posters and minutes of meetings.
